Application: Limitation of starting currents in electrical devices, e.g. transformers, electric motors, etc. The starting current limiter is connected directly in series to a device which is exposed to a high starting current. Design: The ESBN-S type is constructed for a nominal current of 25 A. Caution: Due to the incorporated overtemperature protection, the starting current limiter requires a certain cooling down phase between the switching cycles. The time between two switching cycles should be approx. one minute. For the ESBN-S model to continue limiting operation, it is required that the voltage value first drops to zero.
