These machines have to work reliably despite the harshest conditions.
A harsh environment, characterized by dust and dirt, requires a robust design and encapsulation with little circulating air for cooling. Constant stress at inaccessible extraction sites requires increased electrical safety. Due to space constraints, a compact design is also necessary.
ISMET transformers are successfully used in the shafts for precisely these reasons. The reliability of our products is crucial here, as replacement underground is difficult and therefore rarely implemented.
