The PHOENIX MECANO Group

PHOENIX MECANO AG is a globally operative Swiss technology company. The corporate group specialises in the development and production of a variety of industrial components. Phoenix Maschinentechnik AG was founded in 1975 and worked initially with the development and sales of technical gases for the welding industry. Since many welding torches of the time had moderate to poor quality, the company also began producing the equipment. Over the years, the company developed into a component manufacturer. The expanding microelectronics field in the 1970s offered an additional field of activity, because durable housing systems for sensitive electronics were not yet available in the market.

In 1986, Phoenix Maschinentechnik AG acquired the Hartmann company, which produced electrotechnical components, and the company changed its name to PHOENIX MECANO AG. PHOENIX MECANO has been listed in the Swiss market since 1988.
In addition to ISMET, the corporate group includes several other companies focussed on professional production of niche products and close relations with their customers.
