Drive technology
Air-cooled transformers and chokes of various designs are usually used in drive technology. Mains line chokes and filters at the input of frequency converters reduce the repercussions on the network. As EMC suppressor components, they fulfil a key requirement to compliance with limit values according to EN standards.
Output chokes or du/dt filters are used at the output of frequency converters. They reduce overlapping high-frequency portions of the output voltage. This protects the motor from damaging influences.
In DC drives, output chokes reduce overlapping current ripple in the motor current circuit. A version of transformers and chokes is also available with direct or indirect water cooling. For water-cooled variants, ISMET offers only high-efficiency solutions according to state-of-the-art technology.
